Standard Soil Tests

Basic Soil Test:  Tests for Organic Matter, Estimated Nitrogen Release, Reserve Phosphorus, Available Phosphorus, Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Hydrogen, Sulfate Sulfur, Soil pH, Buffer pH, Cation Exchange Capacity, Soluble Salts and Sodium, Percent Base Saturation for Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium and Sodium.

Includes a copy of our Supplemental Guide to Soil Management.

Trace Mineral Soil Test:  Tests for Zinc, Manganese, Iron, Copper and Boron.  (Recommended for all 1st time home growers and annually for commercial growers.)  

Note:  This test is only performed subsequent to, or at the same time as a Basic Soil Test.

Provides an overview of the soil-building process as well as step-by-step instructions on how and when to prepare the soil for cover cropping.  Suggests which cover crops to use and provides a detailed three-year soil improvement timetable for planting and rotating those crops.
